I really like my apprenticeship at Stork. My everyday life here is exciting and varied.
Why did you choose this profession?
As my father comes from the same industry, this also sparked my interest.
Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship at STORK?
Safe and large company in a great location.
How were your first days at the company?
Exciting. I received a very friendly welcome.
What does a typical working day as an apprentice at STORK look like?
At the moment I work at the scales at the port and weigh incoming and outgoing trucks, which can be STORK's own trucks or those of external companies, check weighing or delivery bills and process incoming invoices by email.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Definitely communicating via radio with the truck drivers and weighing them. Basically, our port is the perfect place to work. Accompanying our harbor master is also always very interesting and you get a great insight.
What is particularly fun, why would you recommend this apprenticeship?
The apprenticeship offers a wide range of tasks. I particularly like the fact that it's not just computer work, but that you're also out and about and have a lot of contact with colleagues and other companies.
What interests should you have for your apprenticeship?
You should have an interest in the industry and the materials to be processed. An interest in trucks and other construction machinery is also an advantage, as we have quite a lot of them.

How was the change from school to training?
It was tough at first because you spend a lot more time at work than at school. But you get used to it.

I am a member of a fitness center through our company network.

Solving Rubik's cubes and dunking (basketball).
